BREAKING UPDATE! U.S. Department of Agriculture has suspended the license of one of the worst puppy mills operators, Steve Kruse, for 21 days.

Kruse has a long history of violations, according to USDA inspections. Innocent dogs have been enduring awful conditions and abuse in his facilities, but the USDA allowed Kruse to keep his license to house and breed thousands of dogs so they can be sold at nationwide pet stores. The ASPCA has been imploring the USDA to take action to protect the dogs found suffering in Kruse’s care, and, while we are glad to finally see a suspension, there are no reports that any dogs have been removed, and we remain concerned that the USDA will continue to fail these over 700 dogs still in the facility. This is why #GoldiesAct is so important – it will require the USDA to take action to protect animals in licensed facilities. Take action with us on #NationalPetDay: aspca.org/goldiesact
